Workspaces and layouts

Create, arrange, rename, and restore workspace tabs.

Each workspace tab holds a panel arrangement. Use separate tabs for different tasks or markets; switching tabs keeps the other workspace and its working state available.

Create and arrange a workspace

  1. Click + beside the workspace tabs, below the main toolbar.
  2. Choose Empty, Default or Charts. Empty starts blank; Default combines chart and trading panels; Charts starts four charts. The account determines which additional layouts and tabs are available.
  3. Click PANELS to add tools. Drag a panel title strip to a highlighted docking target; drag a divider to resize the result.
  4. Right-click the workspace tab and choose Rename. Drag tabs to reorder them; click a tab to switch.

Save or restore an arrangement

Right-click the workspace tab to open the menu below. Export layout… saves its arrangement and panel preferences. Import layout… opens a saved file; review the restored panels and instruments before using trading controls.

Move to New Window separates a workspace when available. For one floating panel, right-click its title strip and choose Show as dialog.

Clicking a tab's × asks to close that workspace and its panels. Export an arrangement you want to keep before closing. A layout is not a backup of provider trades or credentials. Reuse panel settings covers reusable settings for one panel type.
